Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work alongside AI Scientists to refine training datasets and contribute to the advancement of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem identification to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

• Create petabyte-scale, cost-effective datasets by integrating engineering, infrastructure, and research methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition methods, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing concepts.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, proactive attitude, and capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Submission of a portfolio and LinkedIn profile links is required in the application.
