Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish reliable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.

• Work closely with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem discovery phase through to implementation and ongoing improvement.

• Create data pipelines that drive model training and support next-generation AI products.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and maintaining production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach and the capacity to work independently in uncertain environments.

• Background in web crawling, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing.
