Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Identify new sources of audio data and establish dependable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on optimizing data quality, throughput, and cost-efficiency.

• Collaborate with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and assist in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from the initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Solid foundation in backend development principles.

• Expertise in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in creating and maintaining production systems, particularly those involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work autonomously in uncertain environments.

• Experience with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform, is advantageous.

• Knowledge of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is a nice to have.
