Software Engineer, AI Data

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Identify new audio data sources and establish reliable pipelines to incorporate them into training datasets.

• Develop and enhance large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on data quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

• Work collaboratively with AI Scientists to refine training datasets and aid in the development of next-generation models.

• Take ownership of engineering projects from initial problem identification through to implementation and ongoing optimization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development.

• Proficient in Python and Bash within Linux environments.

• Experience in building and managing production systems, preferably involving data pipelines or large-scale data processing.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, initiative, and the capacity to work independently in ambiguous situations.

• Familiarity with web crawlers, data acquisition, or distributed data-processing systems is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code, especially GCP and Terraform, is a plus.

• Understanding of ML training data, dataset quality, or audio processing is advantageous.
