Software Engineer, Agentic

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain robust, scalable backend services adhering to Domain-Driven Design principles.

• Assume complete technical ownership of features from their design phase through to deployment and monitoring.

• Create and orchestrate agentic workflows where AI models perform actions, utilize tools, and resolve tasks with minimal human involvement.

• Engage in architectural decision-making processes.

• Maintain code quality through SDD, TDD, and BDD methodologies.

• Collaborate on code reviews, refinements, and technical planning efforts.

• Recognize and mitigate technical debt, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities using OWASP and SOLID principles.

• Develop and uphold CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket, GitLab, or GitHub.

• Generate well-reasoned technical designs prior to coding.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in backend or full-stack software development.

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI systems, which includes building agents, designing tool usage, engaging with LLM APIs, or automating intricate workflows with AI.

• Strong skills in technical analysis and design.

• Critical thinking abilities to question, challenge, and enhance solutions, including outputs from AI tools.

• Meticulous attention to detail; producing clean, tested, and well-documented code.

• A genuine sense of ownership and accountability for production systems.

• Capability to work independently and discern when to escalate issues.

• A proactive approach and a commitment to knowledge sharing.

• A strong desire to learn.

• Proficient in professional English, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in PHP is required.

• Experience with LLM-powered agents, tool usage, MCP integrations, or prompt engineering at an engineering level.

• Familiarity with Laravel, Pest, Tailwind CSS, AWS Lambda, SAM Templates, S3, CloudFront, Terraform, Playwright, Robot Framework, Cypress, Grafana, k6, Postman, Claude, Kiro, Bitbucket, Jira/Atlassian suite, CI/CD pipelines, SDD, TDD, BDD, SOLID, DDD, and OWASP.

• Knowledge of Rust, Google Ad Manager, Prebid.js, and Prebid Server is considered a plus.
