Software Engineer 5 – Android

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop maintainable, high-performance Android client code, accompanied by thorough documentation.

• Establish and promote best practices to ensure consistency, reliability, and simplicity within a high-commit-volume codebase.

• Utilize Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Circuit, Dagger/Hilt, and GraphQL to create scalable solutions for the shared SDUI architecture.

• Write testable code and develop automated tests using JVM Unit, Espresso, and Paparazzi.

• Stay updated on the latest Android technologies and software engineering methodologies.

• Revamp the codebase to enhance innovation speed.

• Collaborate with both client and server teams to shape the framework and architectural vision.

• Mentor and support the development of less-experienced Android engineers.

• Contribute to the direction of framework and architecture roadmaps.

• Proactively pursue technical solutions with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Android UI architecture and frameworks.

• Strong engineering background.

• Experience with Kotlin/Compose in Android development.

• Familiarity with GraphQL.

• Knowledge of Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Circuit, and Dagger/Hilt.

• Proven experience in writing automated tests, including JVM Unit, Espresso, and Paparazzi.

• Comprehensive understanding of the Android development landscape.

• Capability to identify opportunities and develop future-oriented technical solutions or roadmaps independently.

• Demonstrated success in leading projects and achieving results.

• Skills in project management and estimation.

• Experience integrating GenAI and agentic workflows into engineering practices and evolving SDLC processes.
