Software Engineer 4 – Media Encoding Pipelines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement scalable, cloud-based media encoding pipelines

• Facilitate workflow orchestration, metadata publishing, task prioritization, and catalog management

• Create media assets in diverse formats and quality levels

• Disseminate media metadata throughout the surrounding ecosystem

• Develop infrastructure for on-demand streaming, advertisements, free-to-air broadcast television, video podcasts, and other media workflows

• Collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners across multidisciplinary teams

• Manage projects from initial concept through to production

• Implement automated testing, ensure code quality, and adhere to engineering best practices

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience

• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented design principles

• Demonstrated experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon AWS

• Experience in developing media encoding systems is advantageous

• Eagerness to learn new technologies

• Strong passion for automated testing, code quality, and engineering best practices

• Capability to operate with substantial context and minimal supervision

• Exceptional communication abilities

• Aptitude for collaborating with both technical and non-technical cross-functional partners

• Proven ability to take complete ownership of projects from inception to production
