Software Embedded Engineer, Image Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and optimize AE/AWB and day-night transition algorithms for camera and sensor workflows.

• Incorporate and adapt vendor-specific DSP/ISP SDKs and APIs by utilizing vendor reference and sample code.

• Develop and execute on-device integration testing scenarios to assess image quality performance.

• Detect and resolve intricate image quality and camera pipeline challenges across varying lighting conditions and hardware configurations.

• Collaborate with hardware, DSP vendors, and software teams to integrate and validate camera/IQ components throughout the entire process.

• Assess and implement new vendor SDKs, tools, and tuning practices.

• Offer technical support and troubleshoot issues during IQ integration or field usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical development experience in C, C++, and Python.

• A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.

• Strong comprehension of AE (auto exposure) and AWB (auto white balance) algorithms along with day-night transition logic.

• Familiarity with IQ domain terminology and concepts.

• Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and firmware development.

• Extensive experience working with vendor-specific DSP/ISP SDKs and APIs.

• Capability to read, interpret, and modify vendor sample or reference code.

• Knowledge of embedded hardware, sensors, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).

• Experience in validating and troubleshooting IQ behavior, primarily through integration and on-device testing.

• Proficiency in utilizing debugging tools for diagnosing issues and optimizing performance.

• English language proficiency at Level B1+/B2.
