Software Development Engineer – Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate requirements to create detailed test strategies and thorough test cases.

• Design and execute both manual and automated tests at unit, component, integration, and end-to-end levels.

• Develop, construct, and improve scalable automated testing frameworks for feature validation and AI-driven product processes.

• Create and sustain UI and API test automation utilizing Selenium, pytest, and Playwright.

• Perform performance and load testing with tools like Locust.

• Generate test reports using tools such as Allure.

• Report regressions to the relevant development teams.

• Offer timely feedback on design documents and testability to shape design decisions.

• Collaborate with engineers, product management, and UX as part of an independent, cross-functional agile team.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test, QA Engineer, or similar role.

• A strong commitment to delivering high-quality software with an emphasis on testability, robustness, and performance.

• Proficient in Python and JavaScript (both are essential) for test automation.

• Hands-on experience with pytest, Selenium, and Playwright.

• Familiarity with Locust is advantageous.

• Solid understanding of SDLC and Testing Pyramid principles.

• Experience in developing or enhancing automation frameworks for UI/API/component/unit tests.

• Proficient in Git (mandatory) and CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI (preferred) or Jenkins.

• Experience working on AI products with non-deterministic behavior is a significant plus.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS required; GCP/Azure preferred).

• Comfortable using Unix/Linux/Mac OS development environments and shell scripting (Bash is required).

• Knowledge of PowerShell is a strong advantage.

• Understanding of microservices-based web applications, including frontend, backend, and database layers.

• Capability to write complex SQL queries.

• Experience developing Ansible playbooks is a plus.

• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills to engage with global and cross-functional teams.
