Software Development Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and developers to develop test suites and test cases for new requirements, change requests, and various projects.

• Design, create, and execute database, API, integration, and performance test suites with proper traceability.

• Identify, assess, and automate test cases using appropriate automation tools.

• Automate functional test cases utilizing Python or Java, with the option to incorporate AI.

• Utilize GitHub Copilot, Gemini, and MCP for test design, automation, data analysis, troubleshooting, and human validation.

• Validate enterprise applications that support Akamai's marketing, sales, and customer engagement efforts.

• Conduct testing on UI, APIs, databases, integrations, and enterprise systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• B.Tech/MCA or equivalent qualification.

• At least 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance.

• In-depth understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), QA methodologies, and the overall testing lifecycle.

• Practical experience with testing Salesforce/CRM platforms, including functional, API, database, and integration testing.

• Significant experience in Python/Java automation along with a background in building or improving test automation frameworks.

• Basic knowledge of SQL to develop and analyze queries and validate backend data.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Git, and Jenkins, or similar engineering tools.

• Understanding of Git and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.

• Strong communication skills.
