Software Development Engineer in Test – SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key components of the testing infrastructure.

• Lead the quality strategy implementation across the engineering team.

• Create testing methodologies for intricate features.

• Guide junior engineers and make architectural decisions for large-scale automation.

• Design and implement test frameworks and infrastructure.

• Formulate testing strategies for new features and platform capabilities.

• Incorporate testing earlier into the development lifecycle through collaboration across teams.

• Refactor and enhance existing test suites for better maintainability and performance.

• Enhance CI/CD pipeline efficiency and reduce test execution times.

• Construct and oversee AWS-based testing environments.

• Develop specialized tools and reporting mechanisms to reveal quality insights.

• Provide mentorship to SDET I engineers.

• Perform technical code reviews.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience with Playwright.

• Comprehensive experience with Playwright, including an in-depth understanding of fixtures architecture.

• Proficient in object-oriented test framework design using layered patterns (PCOM/POM) and scalable abstractions instead of linear scripts.

• Experience in API testing/orchestration with REST or GraphQL integrated into UI workflows.

• Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, including generics, decorators, advanced typing patterns, and type inference.

• Strong grasp of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and race-condition mitigation.

• Solid understanding of software design principles, including domain-driven design and design patterns such as Factory, Builder, Facade, and Composite.

• Practical AWS experience, including EC2 configuration, CloudWatch log analysis, and cloud environment debugging.

• Familiarity with Docker, encompassing containerization, docker-compose, and image management.

• Proficient in CI/CD debugging and optimization.

• Expert-level skills in Git, GitHub, and distributed version control workflows.

• Advanced reporting capabilities using Allure, Playwright HTML reports, or custom solutions.

• Experience with test infrastructure and framework architecture.

• Skills in performance optimization at scale.

• Knowledge of the npm ecosystem and package management.

• Must reside in India.
