Software Development Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop testing strategies and automation plans for micro-segmentation and threat protection products and services.

• Take ownership of test execution and automation processes.

• Identify and implement tools that align with testing objectives.

• Work collaboratively with software engineering teams in an Agile setting on code reviews, design assessments, test planning, and automation framework evaluations.

• Partner with development teams to improve new releases and testing methodologies.

• Coordinate and engage in customer installations and team demonstrations.

• Contribute to Akamai's Zero Trust platform and its security features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in Python or Golang.

• Familiarity with the Pytest framework.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, REST APIs, databases, and SQL.

• Experience in a Linux/Unix operating environment.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools, including Jenkins.

• Experience in performance and scalability testing.
