Software Development Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain automated API, integration, and end-to-end testing utilizing Java, Groovy, or Kotlin.

• Design and execute UI test automation using Playwright or Cypress.

• Assess HTTP-based services and their edge behaviors.

• Incorporate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable automatic and dependable regression tests.

• Analyze test failures, determine root causes, and collaborate with developers to address issues.

• Oversee test environments, manage test data, and develop reusable testing tools.

• Partner with developers, SRE, and support teams to pinpoint quality bottlenecks and ensure dependable releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Engineering proficiency or equivalent education in computer science or a related discipline, along with relevant practical experience in software development.

• Proficient in programming in any language.

• Familiar with Java, Groovy, Kotlin, and testing frameworks such as Spock, JUnit, or TestNG.

• Solid understanding of networking principles, including HTTP, TCP/IP, and DNS protocols.

• Hands-on experience with UI test automation and familiarity with Playwright or Cypress.

• Experience working in a Linux environment, knowledgeable in shell scripting and command-line troubleshooting.

• Proficient in Git and practices related to continuous integration and delivery.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with Jenkins infrastructure, pipelines, Job DSL, agents, plugins, API testing tools, reporting tools, or AI-enhanced debugging.
