Software Development Engineer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engage in functional and product design evaluations and integrate feedback into test plans and test cases.

• Design and implement automated tests for functionality, load, and performance assessments.

• Develop and execute tests on newly introduced features and capabilities.

• Collaborate with developers, Systems QA, release engineers, architects, and program managers.

• Enhance testing and automation infrastructures.

• Establish test plans and effective automation strategies.

• Conduct QA-related tasks and create as well as execute component-level test automation for Akamai's cloud storage platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Proficient in Unix/Linux operating systems.

• Experience in developing automation frameworks using Python.

• Familiarity with storage technologies and/or cloud computing.

• Understanding of networking concepts such as HTTP, DNS, and TCP/IP.

• SQL/CouchDB experience is advantageous.

• Capability to work responsibly, manage oneself, remain self-motivated, and operate with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication skills.

• Quick learner with the ability to analyze and understand new technologies.

• Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting abilities.
