Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop medium complexity functionalities and components independently, from technical analysis to implementation, validation, and deployment.

• Participate in technical design while considering maintainability, scalability, performance, security, and user experience.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and stakeholders.

• Ensure quality through best practices, testing, code review, and monitoring in production.

• Analyze, resolve, and prevent technical incidents.

• Engage in code reviews and share knowledge.

• Suggest improvements in components, processes, tools, and engineering practices.

• Contribute to the maintenance and evolution of architecture and systems.

• Collaborate in task planning and estimation, identifying risks and dependencies.

• Take ownership of assigned initiatives and be accountable for the final quality.

• Utilize AI tools such as Copilot, Cursor, and Claude for development, testing, documentation, and technical analysis.

• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.

• At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.

• Experience in independently developing functionalities in digital products or platforms.

• Proficiency in development best practices, testing, code review, and software maintenance.

• Knowledge of backend and/or frontend web development.

• Experience with Java, Angular, AWS, Bitbucket Pipelines, ArgoCD, and Datadog.

• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, version control, and deployment environments.

• Experience using AI applied to software development.

• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical profiles.

• Ownership mentality, quality orientation, and continuous improvement focus.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work with changing or incomplete requirements.

• Capability to break down complex problems, estimate them, and anticipate technical risks.

• Experience with agile methodologies is a plus.

• Interest in the edtech sector, digital products, and learning experiences is valued.
