This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Facilitate the adoption and advancement of performance engineering methodologies across various applications and teams.
• Create, develop, and execute performance tests to detect bottlenecks and assess performance risks.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Evaluate test results and offer recommendations to enhance application scalability, stability, and performance.
• Design and maintain performance testing scripts utilizing industry-standard tools.
• Oversee application performance and aid in identifying and addressing performance issues.
• Assist in capacity planning, performance tuning, and conducting root cause analysis.
• Contribute to the documentation of performance testing procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Keep updated with trends, tools, and technologies in performance engineering.
• Over 4 years of engineering experience, including performance testing or performance engineering.
• More than 3 years of experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, or similar.
• At least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with programming or scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, New Relic, or Grafana.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Understanding of application architecture, databases, APIs, and networking basics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in healthcare IT or knowledge of healthcare applications and regulations such as HIPAA.
• Proven experience in supporting performance testing initiatives within complex enterprise environments.
• Awareness of modern performance engineering concepts, including observability and shift-left testing practices.
• Capability to convey technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in Agile development settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School diploma + 4 years of relevant experience).
