Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and support applications and services operating within AWS cloud environments.

• Construct and enhance SQL Server database components, which include queries and stored procedures.

• Convert business and technical needs into scalable and maintainable solutions.

• Produce clean, secure code that adheres to development standards and best practices.

• Utilize AI assistants for code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation with proper validation.

• Engage in Agile methodologies and activities, such as planning sessions, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Diagnose and resolve application and data-related issues.

• Contribute to code review processes and ongoing quality enhancement.

• Collaborate with engineering, QA, and business teams.

• Assist in the deployment and operation of applications within AWS.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 1–5 years of relevant professional software development experience; internships, co-op placements, or academic projects are acceptable.

• Practical experience with cloud development, especially with AWS.

• Practical experience with SQL Server and relational database development.

• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and REST APIs.

• Understanding of version control systems, such as Git.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS is preferred.

• Experience utilizing AI assistants in software development processes.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

• Knowledge of the healthcare domain and HIPAA regulations is preferred.

• Experience with data engineering or analytics platforms, like Databricks and AWS data services, is preferable.
