Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and deploy digital solutions and systems.

• Utilize advanced technical expertise to architect and program software applications.

• Perform system testing and debugging processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for effective project execution.

• Contribute to the overall technical direction and innovation within digital engineering initiatives.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, testing, and production environments.

• Provide support for enterprise-scale software applications and integrations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Over 5 years of professional experience in software development, including designing, developing, testing, and supporting business applications.

• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

• Experience in developing and consuming APIs, web services, and enterprise integrations.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.

• Knowledge of SDLC, source control, code reviews, and Agile development methodologies.

• Experience in troubleshooting and resolving application issues in development, testing, and production environments.

• Familiarity with automated testing and CI/CD practices.

• Understanding of security best practices, secure coding standards, and vulnerability remediation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

• Proficiency or experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, microservices, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, application performance optimization, production support, and application security principles is preferred.
