Software Development Engineer 2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop designs, conduct testing, write code, and implement new solutions with minimal assistance.

• Execute features based on designs reviewed by the team and follow architectural standards.

• Guide junior engineers and onboard new team members.

• Track, measure, and evaluate operational and quality indicators.

• Discover areas for enhancing service performance and system reliability.

• Provide support for production solutions through proactive monitoring and swift incident management.

• Assess systems to pinpoint bottlenecks.

• Independently apply team processes and best practices while offering constructive feedback.

• Acquire knowledge of new technologies and share insights with the team.

• Collaborate with senior team members to ensure code is clear, maintainable, and thoroughly tested.

• Enhance engineering procedures by utilizing TDD, BDD, Microservice Architecture, and Vertical Slice Architecture.

• Utilize AI-powered development tools to boost coding efficiency and enhance code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; OR demonstrable equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

• Enthusiasm for staying updated on contemporary technologies and design trends.

• Proficient in building and utilizing REST APIs.

• Experience with C# and Python (if applicable).

• Knowledge of applied OOP, SOLID principles, and design methodologies.

• Strong capability for integrating AI/ML-driven development workflows into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.

• Understanding of RESTful API design and Kafka/event-driven architectures.

• Experience with modern RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL, Postgres) and NoSQL databases.
