Software Developer II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain scalable, high-quality software solutions.

• Enhance software development lifecycle processes and continuous integration/continuous delivery methodologies.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to grasp requirements and achieve project goals.

• Perform code reviews to uphold code quality and standards.

• Utilize Jira and Git for version control, changes, and corrections.

• Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to software development and deployment.

• Provide bug fixes, new features, and improvements based on user stories.

• Act as a subject matter expert and disseminate technical knowledge.

• Automate repetitive or error-prone tasks using scripts, tools, or agentic AI workflows.

• Prototype tools and techniques that enhance speed, code quality, or reliability.

• Participate in the on-call rotation to address operational issues and their root causes.

• Design, develop, and manage cloud-platform services.

• Ensure secure transport and credential management, including certificate validation and encryption.

• Contribute to discussions on back-end architecture.

• Take ownership of feature testing and deployment.

• Establish feedback loops and collaborate on AI-enhanced developer tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of professional experience, primarily in cloud/back-end development (Java/SpringBoot or similar).

• More than 5 years of experience with Java/SpringBoot and building production services.

• Strong comprehension of the software development lifecycle and experience in enhancing SDLC processes.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.

• Proficient in English at High B2 or C1 level.

• Proficient in using inline code-completion tools during daily tasks.

• Capable of using conversational AI assistants for pair programming, design discussions, debugging, and documentation.

• Ability to critically assess AI-generated outputs for correctness, security, and adherence to team standards.

• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is preferred.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Experience with C++ or native Windows development is a plus, but not essential.
