Software Developer I – Search

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop features that enhance users’ home search experiences

• Create functionality for the Home Details Page and Search map

• Design user interfaces aimed at consumers

• Construct data ingestion pipelines and services

• Innovate and automate tasks currently handled by humans

• Write reliable code intended to accommodate millions of users

• Engage in an on-call rotation to maintain production systems and ensure service reliability, which may include nights and weekends

• Collaborate with and learn from colleagues in a dynamic and supportive environment

• Contribute to Redfin’s mission of enhancing the real estate experience and increasing homeownership accessibility

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in developing full-stack, customer-facing applications

• Proficiency in React

• Experience in building large-scale applications supported by relational databases

• Familiarity with Java, Spring, Hibernate, and Postgres

• Openness to taking risks and advocating for new ideas

• Interest in creating generative AI solutions for the real estate sector

• Commitment to enhancing both technical and project leadership capabilities

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including potential nights and weekends
