Software Developer I – Power Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver round-the-clock operations and maintenance support for SharePoint Online and Power Platform environments.

• Oversee system performance, troubleshoot issues, address ad hoc requests, and manage escalations effectively.

• Address service requests related to permissions, content migrations, SharePoint pages, analytics, and business automation.

• Resolve user-reported issues in accordance with SLAs and SOPs, while ensuring thorough ticket updates are maintained.

• Collaborate with tenant administrators and engage in tenant-level workgroup meetings.

• Assist in content migration efforts and support the maintenance, enhancement, or decommissioning of collaboration solutions and business automations.

• Strategically plan and execute the retirement of legacy SharePoint components with minimal disruption to services.

• Design and sustain automated reports, workflows, and operational tools.

• Monitor alerts, identify anomalies, implement corrective measures, and mitigate risks proactively.

• Facilitate integrations with MFA, Tableau, SWIFT, NOFO Navigator, Drupal, Records Management systems, and other third-party applications.

• Offer technical guidance, establish standards, provide training, and assist with office hours and work sessions for stakeholders and citizen developers.

• Manage SharePoint content by consolidating sites, eliminating duplicates, and archiving or deleting unused sites.

• Create operational and data-related reports, dashboards, and audit logs.

• Administer Azure DevOps project collections, projects, backlogs, permissions, repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and dashboards.

• Oversee the Azure DevOps backlog utilizing Agile methodologies and facilitate sprint planning activities.

• Implement Records Management General Records Schedules and tagging functionalities.

• Develop and enhance solutions utilizing SharePoint Online, MS Teams, MS Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Drupal, and Copilot.

• Utilize automation and AI while ensuring thorough testing, documentation, adherence to SDLC, and zero production defects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft SharePoint Online development, administration, and support.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).

• Experience in an operations and maintenance (O&M) environment with defined SLAs and ticketing systems.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint Online, including site creation, content management, permissions management, and page development.

• Experience in developing and maintaining Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power BI dashboards and reports.

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps, including backlog management, CI/CD pipeline configuration, repository setup, and user permissions management.

• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.

• Capacity to resolve user-reported technical issues in compliance with established SLAs and SOPs.

• Experience in supporting SharePoint integrations with third-party tools and systems such as Dynamics 365, Drupal, Tableau, or similar platforms.

• Ability to develop and maintain automated workflows, reports, and tools for IT operations.

• Experience in planning and executing the retirement or migration of legacy SharePoint components.

• Understanding of Records Management principles and experience implementing General Records Schedules (GRS) and tagging functionalities.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Ability to provide technical guidance, training, and support to citizen developers and non-technical end users.

• Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and independently prioritize workload.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

• Preferred: experience in a federal government IT environment, Microsoft certifications, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Copilot and AI tools, Drupal, SSO and MFA, SharePoint content migrations, SDLC and software testing, dashboards and audit logs, and SharePoint governance frameworks.
