Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and create enterprise software systems and applications.

• Lead teams of software developers while providing technical direction.

• Convert business and technical requirements into effective solution designs.

• Develop data layers, business logic, and user interface components.

• Utilize UML to create application and solution designs.

• Enhance software for performance, security, maintainability, and overall quality.

• Establish and uphold software development standards and best practices.

• Generate technical documentation and design specifications.

• Assess development efforts, timelines, and potential technical risks.

• Gather and analyze software metrics to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Oversee software configuration, releases, and deployments.

• Participate in requirements analysis, testing, quality assurance, deployment, and change management processes.

• Create testing tools and conduct solution validation.

• Develop prototypes for technical solutions and proof-of-concept projects.

• Serve as 2nd and 3rd line support for implemented solutions.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant professional experience in IT.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Software Developer role or a similar position.

• Required education: Level 6 (Bachelor's degree or equivalent) in a relevant ICT field.

• At least one Advanced level certificate in a software development technology domain or an internationally recognized equivalent certification.

• Minimum English proficiency: B2 level.

• Proven experience delivering at least one software solution throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Expertise in developing enterprise software systems.

• Familiarity with UML and capability to design applications using UML.

• Proficient in designing and developing the data, business logic, and user interface layers.

• Experience in Scrum development environments.

• Proven leadership skills in guiding technical teams.

• Competence in effectively documenting technical solutions.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

• Previous experience as a Software Developer or in a similar role on projects that involved analysis, design, implementation, and deployment of ICT solutions related to or querying the Schengen Information System (SIS).

• Experience in projects related to biometric and identity document processing solutions, including fingerprint scanning using NIST formats, MRZ document scanning, and/or RFID-enabled biometric document processing.

• Practical experience in enterprise application development utilizing contemporary software engineering practices.
