Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Establish and refine the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technological initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, carry out technical evaluations, and spearhead Proof of Concept projects.

• Create scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Set architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Lead the technical design for complex enterprise systems and high-load environments.

• Determine technology stacks and architectural principles for innovative solutions.

• Develop cutting-edge solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and establish strategies for mitigation.

• Assist engineering teams with intricate technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and evaluate technical solutions.

• Contribute to the technical strategy, product roadmaps, and the long-term evolution of products.

• Support technology transformation and modernization initiatives for products.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to shape architecture and technology strategies.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Influence engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• Over 4 years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural position.

• In-depth knowledge of contemporary architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proven experience in defining architectural vision and influencing strategic technology decisions.

• Experience in evaluating technologies and architectural methodologies based on business objectives, scalability, total cost of ownership, and long-term viability.

• Background in leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Demonstrated experience in driving architectural initiatives across various products, platforms, or teams.

• Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in setting architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Proficiency in designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Expertise in architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Solid hands-on software development experience.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Comprehensive experience in end-to-end product and platform delivery.

• Practical expertise across cloud platforms, container technologies, orchestration, programming languages, frontend technologies, data and messaging, DevOps and automation, as well as observability and monitoring.

• Nice to have: practical experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation.

• Nice to have: professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering.
