Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Develop and refine the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technology initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical evaluations, and lead Proof of Concept projects.

• Create scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Set architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Oversee the technical design of complex enterprise and high-load systems.

• Specify technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Recognize technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with intricate technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Perform architecture reviews and technical solution evaluations.

• Engage in technical strategy, product roadmaps, and long-term product development.

• Facilitate technology transformation and product modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategies.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Influence engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• 4+ years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural position.

• Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proven track record in defining architectural vision and steering strategic technology decisions.

• Experience in assessing technologies and architectural strategies based on business objectives, scalability, TCO, and long-term viability.

• Background in leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Experience in advancing architectural initiatives across products, platforms, or teams.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in establishing architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Proven ability to design cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong hands-on background in software development.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Comprehensive experience in end-to-end product and platform delivery.

• Practical knowledge across relevant technology domains including cloud platforms, containers, programming languages, frontend, data and messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring.

• Nice to have: hands-on experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation.
