Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and refine the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technology initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, carry out technical evaluations, and spearhead Proof of Concept initiatives.

• Create scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Direct the technical design of complex enterprise and high-load systems.

• Specify technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Develop innovative solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and devise mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with intricate technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Perform architecture reviews and technical solution assessments.

• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and long-term product evolution.

• Support technology transformation and product modernization initiatives.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategy.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help cultivate engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• 4+ years in a Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural role.

• Strong grasp of modern architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proficient in defining architectural vision and steering strategic technology decisions.

• Experience in evaluating technologies and architectural approaches against business objectives, scalability, TCO, and long-term sustainability.

• Proven experience in leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Experience in driving architectural initiatives across products, platforms, or teams.

• Skilled at collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in defining architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Familiarity with designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Proficient with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong hands-on software development experience.

• Proficient in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• End-to-end product and platform delivery experience.

• Practical expertise across relevant cloud, container, programming, frontend, data, messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring technologies.

• Professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering are a plus.

• Practical experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation is advantageous.
