Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Define and refine the architectural vision for innovative products, platforms, and technology initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical assessments, and spearhead Proof of Concept projects.

• Design scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectural frameworks.

• Develop architectural standards, best practices, and engineering protocols.

• Oversee the technical design of complex enterprise systems and high-load infrastructures.

• Establish technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to solutions utilizing AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with intricate technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Perform architecture reviews and technical solution evaluations.

• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and the long-term evolution of products.

• Aid technology transformation and product modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders on architectural and technology strategies.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help cultivate engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the advancement of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• Over 4 years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or similar architectural positions.

• Profound understanding of contemporary architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proven track record in defining architectural vision and steering strategic technology choices.

• Experience in evaluating technologies and architectural strategies based on business objectives, scalability, TCO, and long-term viability.

• Background in leading distributed engineering teams and technical projects.

• Experience in driving architectural initiatives across various products, platforms, or teams.

• Collaborative experience with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Skilled in defining architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Experience in designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Proficient with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Expertise in architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-grade solutions.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong hands-on software development experience.

• Proficient in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Experience in end-to-end product and platform delivery.

• Practical expertise in relevant technology domains including cloud platforms, containers, programming languages, frontend technologies, databases, messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring.

• Nice to have: practical experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation.

• Nice to have: professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering.
