Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and develop architectural solutions that effectively transform business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure technical frameworks.

• Oversee architecture evaluations by assessing the current environment, business requirements, and customer challenges.

• Design architectures for APIs, microservices, integrations, and event-driven solutions.

• Convert business needs into actionable solutions utilizing Sensedia products and relevant market technologies.

• Engage in workshops, discovery sessions, and decision-making meetings with both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Establish strategies for security, governance, observability, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

• Assist squads during implementation by reviewing code, API contracts, and gateway configurations.

• Produce diagrams, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), roadmaps, and technical documentation.

• Identify risks, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure solutions are successfully deployed in production.

• Design solutions that incorporate AI, AI Gateways, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic architectures.

• Aid in presales initiatives, respond to RFPs, and conduct proof-of-concept projects.

• Disseminate knowledge and assist in the growth of junior professionals.

• Collaborate across various projects within the HIRE Business Unit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in technology, with a strong background in solution architecture and integration projects.

• Proficient in REST API design and lifecycle management, covering aspects such as OpenAPI, contracts, versioning, pagination, idempotency, and error handling.

• Practical experience with API Management or API Gateway platforms like Sensedia, Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or WSO2.

• Applied understanding of microservices architecture and various integration patterns.

• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS/SNS, or Pub/Sub.

• Knowledge of API security and identity protocols, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, TLS/mTLS, and secrets management.

• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes, including operational tasks and troubleshooting.

• Expertise in at least one cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Knowledge of at least one backend programming language, such as Java, Kotlin, Go, Node.js, Python, or C#.

• Experience leading assessments, workshops, discovery sessions, and technical discussions with clients.

• Ability to communicate technical decisions effectively to both technical and business audiences.

• Functional understanding of LLMs, AI solutions, and agentic architectures.

• Awareness of key AI security risks, including prompt injection, data leakage, and excessive agent authorization.

• Proficient and critical use of AI assistants in engineering and architectural tasks.

• Excellent communication skills, a consultative mindset, autonomy, proactivity, and a strong sense of ownership.

• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer engagements.

• Nice to have: experience with Open Finance/Open Insurance, legacy modernization, Infrastructure as Code/GitOps, observability, data architecture, certifications, presales, AI/LLM Gateways, RAG, multi-agent systems, AI frameworks, FinOps, involvement in the technical community, and mentoring junior professionals.
