Social Work Recruitment and Placement Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist in the administration of the California Social Work Education Capacity Expansion grant for the Master of Social Work program.

• Engage in outreach efforts within underserved California communities, promote the MSW program, and attract students from diverse backgrounds.

• Execute targeted recruitment for field placement opportunities in students’ local areas.

• Organize student field placements and ensure that sites comply with Field Program guidelines and HCAI grant standards.

• Support students in finding suitable field sites.

• Act as the university representative for field placement inquiries from both internal and external parties.

• Oversee field agencies to ensure proper supervision and task distribution.

• Address inquiries from students, site supervisors, and agency directors.

• Resolve placement challenges in collaboration with field and university staff/faculty.

• Communicate field policies, procedures, and expectations clearly.

• Identify and evaluate agencies in underserved California communities to serve as field placement sites.

• Monitor and maintain data on student intern placements by term.

• Perform additional duties related to the SWECE grant as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master of Social Work degree from a CSWE-accredited MSW program is required.

• Must be a resident of California.

• Travel within California approximately 1–4 times a year is necessary.

• Applicants will undergo a background check and criminal history review.

• Familiarity with academic processes in a college/university environment is essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.

• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent Google Workspace applications.

• Capability to utilize AI-powered tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grammarly, or similar technologies.

• Ability to exercise independent judgment, tact, diplomacy, and maintain confidentiality.

• Skills in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and handling pressure effectively.

• Proven ability to work successfully in a collaborative environment.

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Preferably 2+ years of post-master’s experience in placing MSW students for field practicum in a university online platform.

• Experience in outreach or student recruitment events is preferred.

• Significant experience in an academic setting is desirable.

• Familiarity with SharePoint and Sonia is preferred.
