Social Media Manager, Freelance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee all L1VE social media platforms, including Reddit, TikTok, Instagram, and X; YouTube is optional.

• Formulate a comprehensive social media strategy, establish tone of voice, and create a content calendar.

• Cultivate and manage L1VE’s subreddit and community engagement.

• Produce platform-specific short-form videos for TikTok and Reels, which includes generating ideas, writing scripts, editing, and monitoring trends.

• Collaborate with the Content & Experience team to create impactful content.

• Handle community engagement across all social media channels.

• Generate real-time content during live events, with the option to be on-site.

• Brief and oversee freelancers, agencies, creators, and on-site event collaborators.

• Ensure quality control of all content produced.

• Analyze and report on reach, engagement, follower growth, and website traffic.

• Incorporate analytics and insights into future content strategies.

• Participate in selected live events, including occasional trips abroad.

• Report directly to the Head of Marketing & Sales.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in social media management for a brand, publisher, sports club, league, or agency.

• A portfolio showcasing your own posts, videos, or campaigns with demonstrated success.

• Profound understanding of TikTok and Instagram formats, algorithms, trends, and internet culture.

• Experience with Reddit and its community dynamics.

• Proficient in creating short-form videos, including conceptualization, filming, and editing.

• Familiarity with video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere.

• Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

• Proficiency in German is a plus.

• Strong sense of ownership and a proactive, hands-on approach.

• Experience working with freelancers or agencies is advantageous.

• Practical experience with AI tools is a plus.

• Data-driven mindset utilizing platform analytics is beneficial.

• Genuine interest in sports, entertainment, and immersive technology is desirable.
