Social Media Manager

📋 Description

• Take charge of Jerry’s official presence on Reddit, managing brand-owned subreddits and engaging organically within automotive, financial, and consumer communities.

• Develop Jerry’s unique Reddit voice and create a community engagement playbook.

• Craft informative text posts, in-depth guides, and visual content focusing on car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance tips.

• Oversee reputation management and crisis response in discussions involving Jerry.

• Monitor Karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, search indexability, and citations from language models.

• Provide insights from Reddit, addressing car-owner challenges and trending topics to the Product and Content teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience managing organic social or community strategy, particularly with a strong focus on Reddit.

• Profound knowledge of Reddit karma, subreddit behavior, automod capabilities, shadowbans, and platform etiquette.

• Proven history of successfully growing social media accounts, preferably in consumer technology, fintech, or insurtech sectors.

• Capability to write authentically for Reddit audiences, steering clear of corporate jargon.

• Comprehension of value-first community marketing and strategies for educational content.

• Familiarity with how Reddit content influences Google SGE, language models, and organic SEO.

• Skill in structuring Reddit posts as enduring resources for car owners.

• Ability to manage public criticism, skepticism, and challenging inquiries with poise, humor, and transparency.

• Must currently live in an eligible U.S. state or Ontario, Canada.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the U.S. or Canada.
