This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah, +1 more state.
• Oversee the daily operations of all Stio social media platforms, which includes scheduling, posting, community management, and optimizing each platform.
• Implement the social media strategy in collaboration with the Senior Brand Manager across all channels.
• Develop authentic social media content, such as Instagram Reels, TikTok videos, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Stories, and live coverage captured in real-time.
• Work alongside video production contractors to create social-first content for organic channels and paid advertising.
• Act as the main online representative of Stio by engaging with the community and responding to comments and messages.
• Stay updated on platform changes, algorithm shifts, and cultural trends to discover content opportunities.
• Source and manage user-generated content from the Stio community and athlete network.
• Assist with content capture during brand activations, productions, and events.
• Handle communication and logistics with athletes and ambassadors, including travel arrangements, scheduling, and on-site support.
• Provide athletes with briefings on content expectations, campaigns, and product launches; review and approve their submissions.
• Monitor athlete content deliverables and maintain records of assets and usage rights.
• Support the editorial content flow for the Mountain Town Journal with stories contributed by athletes and employees, along with field dispatches and trip reports.
• Ensure that the Mountain Town Journal aligns with Stio video projects and long-form brand storytelling.
• Track, analyze, and report on social media metrics, including follower growth, engagement rates, reach, views, and video completion rates.
• Collaborate with performance marketing to identify organic content suitable for paid amplification.
• Provide data-driven insights and creative suggestions to enhance social and content strategies.
• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in content creation and social media management, preferably within an outdoor, apparel, or lifestyle brand.
• Proficient content creator experienced in shooting and editing short-form videos and photos in unscripted, real-time settings.
• Background in briefing and directing creative contractors or video production partners.
• Experience collaborating with athletes on content deliverables and managing relationships.
• Active participant in skiing, mountain biking, hiking, or similar mountain activities; capable of keeping pace in the field.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple relationships and workstreams at once.
• Comfortable creating social content using an iPhone and other equipment.
• Basic to intermediate skills in video and photo editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, Figma, CapCut, or similar tools.
• Familiarity with social media management and analytics platforms, with a preference for Sprout Social.
• Experience in managing a social media content library, including asset organization and naming conventions.
• Performance-oriented with the capability to link content decisions to business objectives and audience growth.
• Strong, confident writing style for captions, briefs, editorial content, and community interactions.
• Excellent relationship-building skills and professional communication abilities.
• Proactive and solutions-focused mindset, thriving in a small, high-accountability team environment.
• Must reside in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, or Salt Lake City, Utah.
• Approximately 20% travel required for athlete projects, brand activations, events, and field productions.
