This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Collaborate with the digital team to develop and implement social media posts for Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Track the performance of social media content across key platforms and provide analysis of the results.
• Generate new content ideas and keep an eye on trends across social platforms.
• Evaluate the social media strategies of other organizations and brands, presenting findings to the digital team.
• Understand brand standards and ensure that all content aligns with the organization’s goals and mission.
• Work in partnership with teams across the Eastern States Region and within the American Heart Association.
• Applicants must be seniors or graduate students pursuing a business degree in visual communications, communications, social media, or marketing.
• Familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook, X, and Instagram.
• Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Sprout Social or equivalent.
• Basic skills in video production, graphic design, and writing.
• Experience in social media monitoring, reporting, and analysis.
• Ability to interact professionally in a corporate or non-profit environment, taking responsibility for guiding projects and programs from start to finish.
• Strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• A reliable WiFi connection.
• Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm EST, including availability on Tuesdays.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, both now and in the future.
• For remote work, it is required that the work is conducted within the United States and not in a foreign country.
