Social & Community Moderator Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist in the daily management and programming of Fanatics communities across platforms such as Discord, Reddit, X, Facebook Groups, and other relevant channels.

• Maintain a continual community calendar that encompasses conversations, recurring programs, activations, AMAs, giveaways, cultural moments, and significant sports events.

• Engage authentically in online sports communities and interact with fans.

• Moderate the Fanatics-owned communities while ensuring a welcoming and engaging Fanatics voice.

• Monitor discussions, trends, memes, fan behaviors, and community moments; identify timely content and engagement opportunities.

• Develop and implement community strategies surrounding sports moments, campaigns, product launches, promotions, and key events.

• Assist in establishing recurring community programs and experiences.

• Provide insights on fan sentiment, feedback, trends, and notable discussions to the Organic Social team and internal partners.

• Collaborate with the Organic Social team to transform community insights into social content and engagement initiatives.

• Work together with Marketing, Brand, Product, CRM, VIP, Responsible Gaming, and other teams.

• Track community engagement, growth, and participation, identifying areas for programming enhancement.

• Keep an eye on new platforms, online communities, and emerging trends while helping to test new participation methods.


⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in social media, community management, social programming, content creation, or a related field.

• Experience in sports, sports betting, gaming, entertainment, or media is advantageous.

• Hands-on experience with Discord, Reddit, X, Facebook Groups, or similar online communities.

• Strong comprehension of sports culture, internet culture, and online fan engagement.

• Familiarity with sports betting or gaming is beneficial.

• A natural instinct for fostering online discussions, sharing, and participation.

• Experience with social moderation, community guidelines, or managing conversations in dynamic environments.

• Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone and voice across various platforms.

• Highly organized, capable of managing multiple tasks, conversations, and programs concurrently.

• Proactive and collaborative mindset, with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.

• Genuine passion for sports and a curiosity about online fan discussions.

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and non-traditional hours as necessary around major sporting events and key occurrences.
