Social & Behavior Interventionist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the “At-Risk” student population to deliver remediation that supports academic objectives and fosters growth.

• Adapt and modify the K12 curriculum in accordance with state content standards to cater to each student's individual needs.

• Work alongside general education teachers through personalized and small group sessions.

• Educate parents on effective instructional strategies.

• Ensure the application of the RTI instructional system to enhance student achievement.

• Supervise data collection and monitor progress at all tiers.

• Utilize data to assist teachers in planning both whole and small group instruction.

• Offer guidance on identifying and grouping students who require additional support.

• Collect and maintain RTI data, including lists of eligible students and intervention plans.

• Act as a daily RTI resource for school administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel to coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions.

• Provide continuous RTI training and support to school and district staff.

• Assist teachers in documenting student progress.

• Partner with the special education team to facilitate special education eligibility.

• Travel up to 20% for in-person professional development, student assessments, and/or as required by the school.


⛳️ Requirements

• North Carolina Teaching Certification is mandatory.

• Must be a resident of North Carolina.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• Active state teaching license is essential.

• Must be able to pass the necessary background check.

• Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week.

• Capability to maintain a professional home office that is free from distractions during working hours, typically 9-5 or 8-4, or as defined by the school.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other educators to analyze and generate numeric, tabular, and graphical representations of student data to inform instructional decisions.

• Open to receiving regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.

• Willingness to embrace change and adapt to ensure outstanding student outcomes.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Capacity to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms.

• Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and remain fluent in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
