SmartCOMM Developer, Senior Consultant – Insurance CCM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, build, and maintain intricate multi-channel document templates utilizing SmartCOMM Template Designer, Data Modeler, and Style Editor.

• Create high-volume batch and interactive communication templates.

• Set up schemas, data models, and business logic for dynamic, rule-based enterprise communication formats.

• Connect SmartCOMM with upstream enterprise core systems via REST/SOAP APIs and messaging queues such as Kafka and MQ.

• Configure and enhance batch generation, on-demand document creation, and interactive drafting processes.

• Define and uphold design standards, ensure template modularity, reusability, and implement version-control best practices.

• Diagnose and resolve performance issues in high-volume batch operations and API-triggered real-time communications.

• Aid in transitioning legacy communication templates to contemporary SmartCOMM architectures.

• Offer technical support, perform peer code reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level CCM developers.

• Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, and downstream delivery teams on omnichannel digital communication solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7 to 9 years of experience in Customer Communications Management (CCM).

• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience specifically with SmartCOMM (Smart Communications).

• Extensive knowledge of SmartCOMM Template Designer.

• Proficiency in Data Modeler and schema definitions.

• Expertise in document orchestration and output channels, including PDF, HTML5, email, and print streams.

• Experience with SmartCOMM Appliance or Cloud platform configurations.

• Strong skills in XML, XSLT, XPath, XSD, and JSON.

• Experience in consuming and exposing RESTful and SOAP web services.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, Groovy, or Java for custom business rules and transformations.

• Experience with Git, SVN, CI/CD pipelines, and JIRA.

• Background in working within an Agile/Scrum delivery model.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Experience integrating SmartCOMM with CRM/ERP platforms like Salesforce or Guidewire.

• Practical knowledge of migrating from Thunderhead NOW to SmartCOMM.

• Familiarity with AWS or Azure and containerized deployments.

• Official Smart Communications Developer certification is a plus.
