Smart Home Project Manager – AI, Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Strategically plan and oversee smart home technology implementations across various projects, encompassing lighting, climate control, air and water quality monitoring, energy management, security, and connectivity.

• Assess and choose smart home platforms, devices, and vendors that adhere to wellness and EMF-conscious standards.

• Collaborate with architects, MEP consultants, and construction teams to ensure early integration of smart home systems into designs.

• Supervise installation processes, testing, and handover procedures with vendors and integrators.

• Utilize AI tools to create prototypes for smart home integrations and automations.

• Develop internal systems and workflows through AI-assisted coding and no-code platforms.

• Streamline project tracking, vendor coordination, and reporting through automation.

• Monitor timelines, budgets, and deliverables specific to the smart home scope.

• Coordinate efforts among vendors, integrators, and internal teams located in India and the U.S.

• Document systems for residents, facility management, and for future project references.

• Stay updated with and experiment with emerging smart home and AI technologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-7 years of relevant experience in smart home technology, home automation, IoT, ELV, or building management systems (BMS) within real estate projects.

• Practical knowledge of smart home platforms and protocols, including Home Assistant, Control4, Crestron, KNX, Zigbee, Z-Wave, and Matter.

• Proven experience in managing installations with vendors and integrators, from the planning phase to final handover.

• Hands-on experience in building prototypes or automations using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Lovable, and Replit, as well as no-code platforms like Zapier, Make, and Airtable.

• Demonstrated examples of integrations, tools, or automations developed.

• Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic, remote, cross-cultural environment.

• Excellent proactive communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

• A strong interest in wellness technology is highly desirable.
