This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Establish robust, trust-based connections with small business owners in neighborhoods with low to moderate incomes.
• Act as an advocate by comprehensively understanding and elevating the needs of local business owners.
• Collaborate with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to enhance access to capital and technical assistance.
• Contribute to community development activities that qualify under CRA guidelines.
• Work alongside regional and local leadership to pinpoint outreach opportunities and expand support through Special Purpose Credit Programs (SPCPs).
• Provide valuable insights to improve program design and bolster support for small businesses.
• Coordinate place-based initiatives throughout the Bank’s service area.
• Assist leadership in identifying, documenting, and sharing activities that align with CRA objectives.
• Connect small businesses with financial solutions, educational resources, and networking opportunities.
• Promote initiatives that improve access to capital, mentorship, and operational guidance.
• Organize workshops, seminars, and events targeted at small business owners.
• Advocate for equitable and consistent access to financial products and services.
• Monitor engagement, program participation, and impact across key initiatives.
• Identify gaps and trends to guide strategic enhancements.
• Assist in the documentation and reporting of CRA-related activities in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Execute additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Community Development, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in small business development, community outreach, advocacy, or related fields.
• Familiarity with CRA or community development is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by small businesses in low- to moderate-income areas.
• Exceptional skills in relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to evolving business environments.
• Direct experience supporting small businesses in low- to moderate-income communities.
• Working knowledge of financial products and services utilized by small businesses.
• Familiarity with CRA community development principles and industry best practices.
• Multilingual capabilities enhance broader engagement and inclusion.
