This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +2 more states.
• Investigate suspected fraudulent activities.
• Perform in-depth case assessments and intricate BI fraud investigations, which encompass staged accidents, claim misrepresentation, and organized fraud schemes.
• Provide support for a region that includes Jackson, Mississippi; New Orleans, Louisiana; and Mobile, Alabama.
• Supervise file quality in the capacity of an Investigative Consultant.
• Make decisions on claims related to highly complex investigations and pursue restitution.
• Manage relationships with vendors and oversee their performance.
• Execute complex online data searches, research, and evaluations.
• Investigate complicated, multi-discipline, and Excess Coverage Liability (ECL) claims that may involve fraud to ascertain if payment is justified.
• Review investigations with fraud outcomes to confirm the appropriateness of denials.
• Conduct intricate site inspections at body shops, medical clinics, and loss locations.
• Handle, research, and resolve complex customer communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues.
• Utilize analytical tools or SIU field intelligence to identify claims for investigation and support evidence of fraud and damages.
• Summarize documentation and enter notes into the claims system to document claim files, evaluations, and decision-making processes.
• No supervisory responsibilities involved.
• Proven SIU Investigator with significant experience in Special Investigations Units (SIU) within the insurance sector.
• Strong background in claims management.
• Proficient in Auto Bodily Injury (BI) investigations.
• Experience in handling Homeowners claims investigations, particularly those related to weather-induced roof, wind, and flood damage.
• Exceptional analytical and investigative abilities.
• Sound judgment skills.
• Capability to manage high-impact cases from inception to completion.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Effective decision-making abilities.
• Skilled in documentation practices.
• Proficient in evidence gathering.
• Experienced in fraud investigations.

• Experienced in interviewing witnesses.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Employer does not provide sponsorship for work visas.
• Individuals with an active insurance license must terminate all existing appointments before onboarding and are not permitted to hold external appointments during employment.
• Applicants possessing a resident producer license must formally surrender that license when directed by the licensing team.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions while working from home.
• Reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is required.
