Site Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for projects within the assigned Business Unit.

• Ensure adherence to safety policies and established standards.

• Verify that personal protective equipment complies with relevant OSHA/EPA regulations and that employees receive training on its proper usage.

• Perform safety audits at designated project sites.

• Deliver safety training to all personnel involved in projects.

• Carry out project safety inspections and address any outstanding issues.

• Assess subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.

• Generate and assess activity hazard reviews.

• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and Ameresco standards.

• Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents.

• Create and implement Corrective Action Plans.

• Collaborate with project supervision to develop safety solutions.

• Promote and uphold a positive safety culture.

• Maintain necessary safety certifications as required by contracts.

• Organize quarterly safety meetings for project teams.

• Compile safety reports.

• Foster a positive work environment with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and management.

• Lead investigations into incidents and accidents.

• Execute additional duties as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in place of a degree, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of experience in safety management within commercial, government, or industrial settings.

• EM-385 Certification.

• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety, and industry standards.

• Proven experience in developing, implementing, and overseeing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).

• Capability to review confidential US security information.

• Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

• Proficiency in managing effective interpersonal, functional, and organizational relationships.

• Exceptional verbal, written, computer communication, and presentation abilities.

• Current CHST, CSP, ASP, CSHO, or an equivalent professional safety certification.

• Experience working with USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, or other Department of Defense construction contracts.

• Familiarity with electronic safety management systems and digital reporting.

• A valid driver's license from the state of residence, in good standing.

• Willingness to travel and provide on-call support.
