Site Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for assigned projects within the Business Unit.

• Ensure adherence to all Safety Policies and established Standards.

• Confirm that personal protective equipment complies with relevant OSHA/EPA regulations and that employees receive training on correct usage.

• Perform safety audits at designated project sites.

• Offer safety training to all personnel associated with the project.

• Execute project safety inspections and address any outstanding issues.

• Assess subcontractor safety qualifications and participate in pre-construction meetings.

• Create and assess activity hazard reviews.

• Conduct regulatory compliance tasks alongside accident and incident investigations.

• Formulate and implement Corrective Action Plans.

• Collaborate with project supervisors to devise safety solutions.

• Promote and sustain a positive safety culture among project staff.

• Maintain safety certifications as mandated by contracts.

• Organize quarterly safety meetings for the project team.

• Generate safety reports.

• Cultivate a constructive work environment with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and management.

• Lead investigations into incidents and accidents.

• Perform additional duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in place of a Bachelor's degree, along with a high school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial, government, or industrial safety management.

• EM-385 Certification.

• Current certifications in First Aid, CPR, OSHA, and 30-hour Construction Safety.

• Proven experience in developing, executing, and managing Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).

• Capability to review confidential US security information.

• Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

• Strong ability to foster positive and effective interpersonal, functional, and organizational relationships with all stakeholders.

• Exceptional verbal, written, and digital communication and presentation abilities.

• Current CHST, CSP, ASP, CSHO, or equivalent professional safety certification.

• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, or other Department of Defense construction contracts.

• Familiarity with electronic safety management systems and digital reporting.

• Valid Driver’s License issued by the state of residence and in good standing.

• Willingness to travel and provide on-call support as necessary.
