Site Reliability Engineer – FEDRAMP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and test features within the Splunk Cloud platform.

• Create and revise documentation pertaining to configuration and infrastructure modifications.

• Implement configuration and infrastructure adjustments in customer cloud environments.

• Manage customer-related incidents and troubleshoot the Splunk Cloud platform.

• Design and enhance automation tools.

• Offer operational, maintenance, and documentation support for Splunk’s extensive FedRAMP cloud offering.

• Collaborate across various teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.

• Certain tasks must be undertaken by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil.

• Required to work 4X10 shifts from Wednesday to Saturday, midnight to 10 am EST.

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and be on-call during the shift is essential.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Linux.

• At least 2 years of scripting experience in Python, Golang, or Bash.

• 3+ years of experience in distributed systems.

• Over 1 year of experience in incident management participation.

• Must be willing to obtain the Splunk Cloud Architect Certification and either the Splunk Administration or Splunk Power User certificate within the first 2 years of employment.

• Familiarity with operating systems, particularly Linux.

• Knowledge of networking and cloud technologies, especially AWS.

• Preferred experience with Puppet.

• Preferred experience with Jenkins.

• Experience with AWS or GCP.

• Preferred proficiency in scripting with PowerShell.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure is an advantage.

• Preferred qualifications include an AWS Solutions Architect certificate and/or relevant experience.
