DevSecOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, establish, and manage secure CI/CD pipelines throughout the software development life cycle.

• Integrate and automate security tools, controls, and testing within DevOps workflows.

• Support containerized and cloud-native environments by employing secure development and deployment methodologies.

• Conduct and assist with security assessments, vulnerability management, remediation, and incident response activities.

• Provide support for source code repositories, Git, version control, and automated build and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with developers, security engineers, cloud architects, and operations teams to mitigate security risks.

• Create and maintain documentation for DevSecOps processes, pipeline configurations, and security integrations.

• Assist a large Federal Government client in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of DevSecOps experience, including at least 5 years of Cybersecurity and Cloud Security experience within a large Government agency comparable in size/scope to GSA, IRS, DoD or VA.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or similar fields.

• Certification in one or more of IAT III, IAM III, or IASAE III; these certifications may be substituted for a relevant Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of pertinent experience.

• Capability to obtain and sustain the necessary VA background investigation/suitability and system access.

• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native environments.

• Experience in integrating security tools into DevOps pipelines and automating security operations.

• Preference for candidates with VA/Federal DevSecOps experience.

• Preferred experience in Infrastructure-as-Code or security-as-code.

• Familiarity with automated security testing and cloud-native security tools is preferred.
