Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with Technology management, clients, and support teams to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions.

• Architect and design infrastructure systems.

• Investigate and develop new or enhanced systems.

• Establish technology standards and policies.

• Assess user needs and operational limitations.

• Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.

• Engage with business partners to clarify issues or opportunities and gather business requirements.

• Estimate effort for complex, moderate- to large-scale projects.

• Coordinate vendor interactions and manage resources related to contracts/vendors.

• Guide and mentor less experienced engineers, technicians, and integrators.

• Review documentation, proposals, and modifications from junior staff.

• Stay updated on trends, practices, technologies, vendor products, services, and updates in Financial Services.

• Adhere to and advocate for industry best practices, standards, and procedures.

• Maintain a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of supported applications, development environments, and client environments.

• Assist with managing expense and capital budgets.

• Comply with company risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls; escalate risk-related issues as needed.

• Foster diversity and uphold the Bank brand.

• Maintain internal control standards and execute audit and regulatory action items.

• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Contract position.

• A minimum of 12 years of combined higher education and/or experience in systems design, management, and/or architecture.

• Comprehensive understanding of the system development and infrastructure lifecycle, architecture, vendor best practices, IT Service Management, and systems design.

• At least 12 years of advanced experience in a technical engineering role involving infrastructure design technologies, data management and interchange, system design, and/or development for complex applications.

• Proficiency in translating complex business and functional requirements into structured, high-quality implementations using industry-standard methods.

• Proven ability to devise alternative solutions for complex challenges and recommend optimal solutions.

• Advanced technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Recognized expertise in relevant industry and/or vendor technologies.

• Competence in gathering, documenting, and analyzing system specifications and requirements.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

• Strong facilitation skills to elicit and review requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Understanding of the interplay between people, processes, and technology to create viable solutions for medium- to high-complexity projects.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong influencing capabilities.

• Process-oriented and logical thinker.

• Extensive knowledge of server/client and virtual technologies.

• Capability to master complex tasks with minimal oversight.

• Experience with project estimation and budget/planning activities.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is preferred.
