This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the MEP Project Manager in identifying and assessing subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Create scopes of work, project timelines, estimates, bids, and change orders for MEP projects.
• Oversee and coordinate all trades and on-site construction operations from pre-start to completion.
• Select suitable bidders and negotiate final pricing.
• Generate cost-to-complete estimates, monthly billing, status updates, progress reports, materials, and cost analyses.
• Review and coordinate P&IDs, as well as mechanical, electrical, shop, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Schedule subcontractors while monitoring productivity and installed quantities.
• Identify and obtain necessary materials, equipment, tools, and supply sources.
• Set up and finalize construction sites.
• Act as on-site Safety Officer when one is not designated and enforce Gray's safety program.
• Engage in the safety component of the company's QMS program and sustain QMS documentation and traceability.
• Guide supervisory staff and subcontractors, coordinate construction phases, and mitigate delays.
• Address workforce issues and concerns.
• Modify work schedules based on reports and directives from the MEP Project Manager.
• Establish and uphold safety and quality standards according to company, industry, and job specifications.
• Ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Lead subordinate supervisors and support teams; interview, hire, train, assign, direct, and evaluate team members.
• Mentor newer team members.
• Carry out other assigned tasks.
• An Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with a minimum of ten (10) years of construction experience, or at least 15 years of related construction experience with escalating responsibilities in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in the light/heavy industrial sector is highly preferred.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, financial statements, and legal/contract documents.
• Strong skills in people management.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, tablets, and smartphones.
• Familiarity with MS Project and other scheduling software is an advantage.
• A strong work ethic; energetic, self-driven, collaborative, and dedicated to professional growth.
• Capacity to think independently and manage tasks without constant supervision.
• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
• The selected candidate may reside anywhere in the USA and must be willing to travel to project sites across the United States and, occasionally, internationally.
• Capability to meet physical demands, including frequently lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to work in various environments, including outdoor, wet/humid, mechanically active, high, noisy, hot/cold, electrical, explosive, and vibrating conditions.
