Site Activation Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Guide the Site Deployment Team to support FAA NextGen Air Traffic control initiatives, including En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM).

• Facilitate activities, communication, and planning directly with personnel from FAA and Leidos.

• Provide daily updates on briefings, schedules, material deliveries, and subcontractor activities.

• Support Technical Operations staff with the deployment and certification of ERAM technical refresh systems.

• Manage printable electronic site schedules from General Acceptance until the completion of contractor maintenance duties.

• Execute software installations, firmware updates, and other system maintenance tasks.

• Ensure on-site equipment is maintained in accordance with approved technical manuals.

• Aid in periodic maintenance, certification, equipment relocation, and system monitoring.

• Diagnose systems and replace defective line-replaceable units (LRUs).

• Assist in the management of site spare parts.

• Keep technical documentation, data files, logs, and performance records up to date.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field, or equivalent experience/combined education, with at least 4 years of professional experience; or 2 years of professional experience with a related Master’s degree.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

• Demonstrated commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical conduct, and integrity.

• Knowledge of the National Air Space and FAA NextGen Air Traffic control programs, including various FAA facilities related to NextGen initiatives: ERAM, ATOP, TBFM.

• Proven experience in team building and a customer-centric approach.

• Familiarity with implementation under Waterfall and/or Agile development methodologies.

• Previous experience in a technical leadership position that necessitated substantial coordination across multiple functional areas.

• Background in cost accounting, earned value management, ownership planning, and cost estimation.
