Short Term Insurance Claims Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Receive and handle claims notifications across Commercial, Personal, and Motor portfolios.

• Evaluate claims validity and apply policy terms and conditions accordingly.

• Appoint assessors or loss adjusters when necessary and manage claims through to resolution.

• Maintain precise and current records in compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.

• Communicate effectively with clients, brokers, insurers, and third parties to ensure timely updates.

• Provide clear and consistent updates throughout the claims process.

• Build and nurture strong working relationships to enhance client satisfaction.

• Manage claims efficiently in alignment with productivity and service targets.

• Support cost control efforts by contributing to reduced claims leakage and expenses.

• Identify and escalate potential fraud or irregularities as they arise.

• Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and properly organized.

• Adhere to internal processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements diligently.

• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt within an international context.

• Contribute positively to team performance and knowledge exchange.

⛳️ Requirements

• Matric or an equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of 1 year’s experience in Short-Term Insurance Claims.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, along with a professional and confident demeanor.

• Proficient in using claims systems and general computer platforms.

• Experience engaging with clients and stakeholders in a professional manner.

• Willingness to work international hours when necessary.

• Dedicated home office equipped with reliable internet and contingency plans for loadshedding or connectivity issues.

• Must be a South African citizen currently residing in South Africa.
