Claims Examiner, Auto – Bodily Injury

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Analyze and handle intricate bodily injury claims related to auto and commercial transportation.

• Assess coverage, carry out investigations, establish liability, and appraise damages.

• Manage complex claims for both auto commercial and personal lines, including bodily injury.

• Accurately document and code claim files.

• Oversee the litigation process for claims that are in dispute.

• Coordinate vendor management and utilize independent adjusters to aid in investigations.

• Report significant claims to excess carriers.

• Create and sustain action plans to fulfill state-mandated contact deadlines.

• Identify and pursue opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer.

• Secure and dispose of salvage appropriately.

• Communicate claim actions and processes with insured parties, clients, and agents or brokers.

• Support the organization’s quality initiatives.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years in claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory.

• Extensive knowledge of personal and commercial auto policies, coverages, principles, and legal regulations.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present effectively.

• Proficient in using PCs, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Capability to collaborate within a team environment.

• Must secure and maintain state adjusting licenses as required for the role.

• A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Professional certification relevant to the line of business is preferred.
