Liability Claims Examiner – General Liability Exp. Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate intricate customer claims for a specific client.

• Manage high-stakes General Liability cases that involve severe injuries, complicated coverage issues, and legal inquiries or disputes.

• Review reports and forms; address inquiries promptly.

• Seek legal counsel and aim for early resolution; communicate outcomes to relevant parties.

• Respond to decisions, agreements, and court orders; formulate action plans; assess examination requirements; secure client authorization.

• Identify cases for settlement or redemption.

• Collect and document additional information while coordinating with client representatives.

• Request legal or private investigations; assign and liaise with local counsel; oversee the performance of local counsel.

• Address requests from plaintiff's counsel, unions, employees, or clients.

• Identify issues and develop defense strategies.

• Establish or modify accrued liability and approve administrative expenses.

• Recognize subrogation opportunities and oversee the process.

• Attend and engage in mediations, trials, arbitrations, or hearings as necessary.

• Collaborate with partners to facilitate early return-to-work initiatives.

• Create strategies to achieve satisfactory case resolutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in managing General Liability claims is essential.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in General Liability claims management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

• Proven experience in handling high-exposure claims that involve serious injuries, complex coverage scenarios, and litigation.

• Capability to develop claim and defense strategies.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and legal counsel.

• Skill in identifying settlement opportunities and driving complex claims towards resolution.

• Strong clear and conceptual thinking skills.

• Excellent judgment, problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and discretion.

• Capacity to manage work-related stress.

• Proficient in handling multiple priorities simultaneously.

• Ability to meet deadlines consistently.

• Competence in computer keyboarding.
