Shipping Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Coordinate the booking of international inbound sea and air freight shipments while selecting cost-efficient routing options.

• Oversee cargo readiness, departure, arrival, and customs clearance milestones.

• Monitor for delays or discrepancies and proactively implement solutions.

• Convey shipping schedules, updates, and routine delays to relevant internal teams.

• Manage daily operational relationships with suppliers and freight forwarders.

• Follow up with suppliers and forwarders to ensure that agreed shipping timelines are met.

• Collaborate with freight forwarders and customs brokers regarding container availability, clearance, and delivery.

• Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, and certificates.

• Maintain precise shipping records and update the relevant ERP systems.

• Monitor freight costs, identify opportunities for consolidation, and prepare regular operational reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in international shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics.

• Proven experience in coordinating sea and air freight, including both LCL and FCL shipments.

• Strong understanding of shipping documentation, Incoterms, and customs clearance processes.

• Knowledge of freight cost drivers with a strong emphasis on cost-effective decision-making and space utilization.

• Experience in coordinating freight within the furniture or interior design industries.

• Practical experience using ERP systems, with Options ERP being highly valued.
